Joy Productions, Inc., created by Jimmie Bo Horne, was established in 1976 to create, develop and provide a comprehensive one-stop shop approach to event planning. A creative team of highly dedicated and committed individuals that listen and understand the customer’s needs; adopt their visions; provide consulting services; create the events; develop and execute marketing plans and strategy to insure all aspects of the events are successfully executed. Additionally Joy Productions, under the leadership of the internationally acclaimed Jimmie "Bo" Horne can provide and produce a variety of entertainment.

The team is personally committed to maintaining the highest level of professional and personal excellence. The biggest goal of the company is to strive to exceed every expectation imaginable of our clients. The team has a proven track record of more than 30+ years in event planning and the entertainment business; 30+ years of marketing, public relations, sales and promotional experience; and 30+ years in management and consulting services.

THE SERVICES WE PROVIDE

Joy Production has provided services and to the following clients:

1. The Miami/Bahamas Goombay Festival that is located in Coconut Grove, Florida- 6/2002 – 6/2005, a family oriented festival with more than 300,000 festival attendees. Responsible for securing artists, and all back stage operations (sound, lighting, staging, stage management, catering, security etc.).

2. The Mango Festival that is located in Deerfield, Florida – 1999 to 2007. Family oriented festival with more than 400,000 attendees. Responsible for securing artists, and all back stage operations.

3. The Roots Festival that is located in Delray Beach, Florida.

4. The Jazz Festival that is located in Riviera Beach, Florida.

5. Blazzfest Festival that is located Lauderhill, Florida

6. 4th of July Celebration that is located in Deerfield Beach, Florida

7. 2006 Super Bowl Event in the City of Hollywood

8. Riviera Beach 8th Annual Music Festival – 2006 & 2007

9. Jazz in the Dark – 2008 to present

Some of the artists contracted for these events:

  Joy Productions, Inc. has proven within the tri-county area that it can develop and execute major festivals successfully. Joy Productions has managed the overall operation of an event including the entertainment and stage production whether it was a one-day event or a three-day event. The company negotiates favorable contracts, recruits, selects, negotiates and supervises the production staff and event volunteers. Also coordinates staging requirements, lighting, sound, internal ground transportation, artist technical riders, and the full development of the entertainment line-up, and back stage catering and any other amenities to produce the entertainment stage(s). It has been called upon when major problems arose and what was about to become a failing festival, Joy Productions was brought in and successfully restored the festival to levels unimaginable bringing back community pride and national acclamation. In order to achieve a successful event, Joy Productions along with the host committee will develop a detail work plan that would include the description of the work to be performed, identify tasks and who would be responsible, timeframes, and any instructions and recommendations that will be needed in order to have a smooth and fully executed event.

In addition the work plan, Joy Productions will be in constant communications both verbally and/or providing written reports as to the status of the progress of the festival relative to Joy Production’s responsibilities.  The detail that is provided far surpasses most festival event planners. ABOUT THE PRESIDENT

Jimmie "Bo" Horne

Jimmie "Bo" Horne is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Joy Productions Inc. He is deemed a "detailed and resourceful" Event Planner, who created many successful musical events, and festivals and has brought many "National Recording Artists" to the South Florida area. Mr. Horne is a former national and international recording artist. Jimmie "Bo" Horne is a living legend and continues to be deeply involved in the music and entertainment business in many ways! Jimmie "Bo" Horne had everyone singing: "Let’s Do It, Let’s Dance, Let’s Dance Across the Floor" in the ‘70s. Regarded as one of the original architects of the Miami Dance Sound, Mr. Horne played an integral part in defining pop music with hit after hit spanning two decades. After signing with Miami’s TK Records. In 1973, he released the hit "Clean Up Man" in Germany. The success of his disco feeding frenzy followed him back in the states. His various Billboard hits became club standards. They were picked up by television producers and used on Soul Train, as well as American Bandstand and a number of sitcoms. His release "Gimme Some" went gold in 1975, and was followed by the Billboard hit single "Dance Across the Floor" in 1978 that went double gold. Other Billboard hits include "Spank," "You Get Me Hot," "Get Happy," and "Is It In". It was during this period that Horne shaped what became known as "The Miami Sound." Being a former entertainer, Mr. Horne knows the business of music. To this end, it made for a smooth transition in event planning. He understands the role and responsibilities of an event planner and believes in thorough and detail planning leading to rewarding and successful events.

In addition to his professional career, his formal education was completed in 1971 at Bethune Cookman College receiving a bachelors degree in Sociology.
